Sir Francis Bacon vs. Candide 3.0

Hi all,

So I just had my last season on some 2011 SFB's, and they are probably the nicest ski I've ever ridden. Super poppy with a good flex, and I could ride them on literally everything. Back then these skis were only offered in a 184, so I was pretty bummed when I thought I'd have to find a new everything ski. Then I came across the Candide 3.0's and thought I was saved! They look crazy rad. Continuing on–I recently discovered that the SFB's come in a 190 now. So here's the predicament. Should I buy the best ski I've ever ridden again? Or switch to a new brand and an increasingly popular ski. I really can't decide. HELP!!!

I know this should be in gear but more people look at these forums.

if it aint broke don't fix it. I would stick with then sfb if you know you love them. im still using mine from 11/12 and just wished they would off came in a 190 back then. I haven't ridden the 3.0 but its wider with no camber so it will have less pop but will be better in pow. it also has a longer turn radius so will be more stable when charging

This. I'm not usually one to recommend Line over Faction, but these two skis will ride pretty differently. For starters, the Candide 3 is stiffer with a longer turning radius. It has more a charging, high speed spirit than the soft short turning Bacon. It also is flat underfoot. The Candide is an incredible ski, but if you like what the SFB had to offer, than this may be a disappointment.
