It's not so much that people didn't care for the big mountain shots, but the fact that the movie was quite long. There were plenty of unbelievable park shots, doubles, rails, etc. However, there were a bunch of false endings where it would fade out and the music would stop, or the shot would close out, so people started to clap assuming it was over. Then, another sequence would start up, making the immature idiots in the theatre unhappy.
I certainly did feel bad for the guy that spoke beforehand though, he was so incredibly passionate and proud of it and people were booing when they thought the movie had been on for too long.
