one before was great, this one i agree wasn't top notch, BUT "You just got kicked in the nuts" kept it in the running for being a great episode.

simpsons paved the wasy for family guy. If you pay attention, tons of things on family guy are ripped off of the simpsons. Like plots

 
both simpsons sucked and family guy was a huge peice of shit too.

face it, both shows are way past their prime.

 
the one before was also really, lots stuff you had to pay attention to inorder to get it, like the tianamen square plaque: "in 1989 nothing happened here"
