how would you do this on a Ti-84? HELP!

X^1.4=52.481379

or X raised to the 1.4 equals 52.481379

Hm I think: 1.4, then the root sign with an x on it instead of the "2", then 52.481379 and =... try it!

that's easy, you just take the 1.4th root of 52.481379. You just raise the 52.481379 to the reciporacal of 1.4, which is 14/10 or 7/5, so you raise 52.481379 to the 5/7th power like this, 52.481379^(5/7)=16.92681197

or type in 1.4 then press math then go down to the one that has an x before the radical sign and type in 52.481379. thats how its done on ti-83's if its a graphing calc
