Simon Dumont Pro Models suck

At first when i used the dumont pro models i thought they were a great ski. After only about five times skiing on them, i noticed that the top of the skis were all chipped up and around the edges was also chipping. I bought them brand new and have only skied on them at a small mountain in PA and havnt really been really rough on them. Anyone else have this problem?

Dude, you can't tell people skis are shitty because you don't have enough control of your legs to stop your edges from hitting the topsheet. Can you honestly think of a ski that can take an impact from a razor sharp piece of hardened steel without damage?

every skis gonna chip. if you have the die-cut topsheet or whatever it's gonna chip and be noticeable. My FS WRS look like they got beat and I've skied like 5 days of park in them. My 05/06 TMs I believe had a layer of like plastic or something for the top, and the topsheets like under that, and on those just the plastic seemed to peel but the topsheet still showed through. i really have no idea what I'm talking about in terms of the plastic on top if someone knows how it works please explain.

one of my homies rode for salomon, but dropped them cause their skis wouldnt stay together, so your problem sounds pretty typical

Just because the top sheet chips doesn't mean they suck. ON NOSE MY GRAFIC IS RUINED MY SKIS ARE RUINED fucking punk.

be happy they're still absurdly poppy, fun skis. how bad are the edges fucked? i always thought the durability on those was pretty solid...and the topsheet shouldn't be a problem

this can happen to ALL skis for a few reasons.

1) travel in the car, grinding skis up against each other in a pod etc.

2) on the chair, if you scrap your skis together to get the snow of it, that can de laminate them also

ya i agree, well at least with all sidewall ski. capped skis this usually doesnt happen 2. but my ninthwards from last year were an amazing ski but a quater of top layer was chipped off with like 2 weeks. and by the end of the season there was none from the edge to about an inch into the ski. so it will happen, it is jsut disappointing that it happened to a ski that expensive.
