everyone expresses themselves in different ways. some people are calm, some are angry. thats how simon is and his way of taking out frustration. if i did what he did at the end of a great run i would scream profanities for sure. hes a human and expresses his feelings in a way he wants to express them
 
i would be pissed off if i just threw down a huge run and on the easiest trick to final things off my ski popped off. He was pissed because the judges did NOT score him correctly for that run. It was 99 % perfect and I still believe that his 1st run was better but to get a 55 on it is ridiculous, and anyways Kevin rolland landed and fell kind of on his side on his last hit and still pulled of an 89.
 
Dorey should have. Better grabs, switch hits both ways, alley oop flats both ways, dub 12, all grabbed well. I don't think I have ever seen flats both ways in a the pipe.

I compete in golf as well, and all I have to say is play your own fucking game. You're calling Simon's showing disappointment a douche move? I see where you're coming from but give the guy a break, relating back to golf, some of the greatest players ever get extremely pissed at themselves, does this make them an asshole? No. However, in skiing, say somebody was to try playing mind games with you, as you claimed you do in golf - nobody would like the person.
If somebody is mad at themselves, oh well - they probably have a very good reason, and that does not make them a bitch or anything of the sort.
I'm not a Dumont fan, but seriously, why the hate?
 
I would have been pretty pissed too if I threw down that run and lost my ski on a 5 at the end of the run for no reason. You would be pretty pissed off to don't act like you wouldn't. He didn't cry he just kinda made a scene after the fall which did look kinda dumb, but he is competitive.

All in all who gives a fuck he won 1st with easily the best run their.
 
Simon is righteous. I been partyin with him all afternoon! Lay off, id be hella bummed if I tucked up my run at the dew tour.

the thing about it is, Simon is already one of the biggest pro names in the sport. He dominates pipe and has made a huge name for himself for his success. Yeah he is super competitive and I get that, but part of being competitive is knowing how to take wins and losses. sure it wins to lose but there is never a reason to get that angry about it and their is no excuse for the kind of behavior he has displayed after losing time and time again. so dear simon, keep on being competitive, just grow up a little and learn to deal with the ups and downs instead of pitching a bitch fit everytime something doesnt go your way. Your still a big name, you still ball out and make mad loot, your still famous as hell and all the little kids look up to you. don't worry, you won't lose that if you botch a run or have a bad season. They'll still buy your shit and you'll still get paid.

Short people just get angry too easily.

Some of the older members on here that have been in the freeskiing scene longer than us young members including myself have some mutual respect for thall. One of the innovators of the sport along with CR and a handful of other riders. I'm not pressuring you to respect thall, But just think back on some of the things hes done for the sport.
 
i want to like him and all, cuza what hes accomplished, but i just cant really when i see guys with infectious and happy personalitys like strenio compton or the tc crew. i dont know

haha you are such a pussy. if you fall oh know get your ass back to the top and try again. ive broken 16 bones, 5 of which are from skiing and 3 of them from one crash. and guess what i amd still skiing. if he fell then he shouldnt start crying from it. he should just get up and try again. hes a hella good skier and hes landed good stuff.
 
congratulations, I hope the years on immense and immobilizing pain in your later years gives you fond memories of your bad-ass youth.

have you ever seen him bitch about judging or toss his poles on national tv? no - he congratulates the winner, and just loves skiing day in day out

say what you want about his other shortcomings, but don't try to call him a tool for not being happy and upbeat
 
Go watch like a lion and you will have a new appreciation for Tanner. And like Theron said, its not the 12 year olds sucking tanners dick, they are the ones hating him. They still have their panties in a knot after what tanner said at cold rush and dont know what hes done for the sport.

Simon Dumont is an incredible athlete and he put down a banger run. I can see why he might cry when he fell, he had to have been very disappointed. This being said, situations like JOSS have made me lose some respect for Simon. He can be a poor sport.
