Silverstar?

I`m in silverstar for about 4-5 days leaving on Saturday, I`ve never been there before and the only people I know that have are gapers so I have no idea what to expect, can any of you guys help out

1. Is there any good backcountry or not really?

2. What`s the terrain inside the ropes like?

1) No backcountry. Closest you will get is if you hike Alder Point.

2) Attridge face can be fun to lap occasionally and Putnam Creek is a ton of fun with fresh snow.

Not a bad hike, a lot easier if you drop into Eldorado and hike up from there. A giant ass sign, not hard to find. I personally wouldn't hike it as it hasn't snowed in awhile. However, on a busy day it might be worth it to get some solitude.

I'm going to Silverstar on Sunday, they just took a solid dump on Tuesday (wierd phrasing I know) so I might check out this hike if the bitches are down...

silverstar gets alot of good snow, great trees, good hill split into 2 portions, one being the darkside. ridden this hill forever its pretty legit, lots of knee deep powder and some times chest deep. the park is decent...
