Silicon ski bracelets that look cool and have a good cause

Hey guys, I want to introduce an idea that some fellow NS members and I are working on. We would like to produce silicon bracelets, similar to the Livestrong bracelets. Money from these bracelets would go to a charity. But, since the bracelets are ski related, why not donate to a ski related charity?

Standstrongagain.org is an organization for spinal injuries. It has many of your favorite skiers involved in it, including Matt Sterbenz and Steele Spence. We are contacting the charity, but donations from every bracelet would go to the organization.

These bracelets would have a nice little catch phrase on it. NS member "juliana." and I had thought of the bracelets, and really wanted to make something special happen with them. The phrase and color of the bracelets have not been determined yet, but they will be nice.

Here is what I need NS to tell us:

Would you buy the bracelets? They would be about $2 to start off, and depending on how those sold, the prices would decrease. We just need to determine how many to order in the beginning, also.

What would be a cool thing to have on the bracelets?

haha we knew you would say that! actually, juliana and i have been planning that for a little while, so i dont think either of us can claim the idea

besides, why claim and fight when all this is doing good in the end?

Good luck, if you actually take off and produce them i will buy, but this has been tried multiple times.
 
Haha i was just kidding, its all you two. But seriously, i think its an awsome idea and i think just having newschoolers.com would be best. As for colours i think getting a handful of a few colours would be the way to go.

we were thinking:
ozone-like color
neon colors

and we are open to more colors

i think they should just be newschoolers or newschoolers.com and just ozone. i got a livestrong in 04 and still wear it hehe
 
I'd buy one or two, as for the wording I would go with "standstrongagain" and/or newschoolers.com
 
I would buy 5 of them to make my purchase an even 10$. I dont really care what the message on it is, or what the color is because i just want to donate to the cause.

But please, dear god make them different sizes. S, M, and L. The livestrong ones are perfect because of the different sizes. When you buy the fake ones they're either cutting off your circulation, or hanging around your wrist like a loose vagina.
 
sounds sick... make it say something simple like "ski life" or something. because stand strong is too close to live strong. people will think you're just ripping off the og's/
 
i'd buy one for $2 at the start, i like the idea of a bracelet and i've been donating small amounts of money to stand strong again over the years so i'd like to support them more. don't put a phrase on it, just maybe a picture of like a person doing a mute, kinda like a spin off on the jonny moseley logo
 
ah shit! i did that same exact thing for my friend who waas dope at skiing but he almost got paralyzed from jumping of a roof into a lake and the docters said he wouldnt walk again and now he is almost to the point where he can ski again. ya. peace. jello

it would have to be different than stand strong again i think because as someone said before, its too much like livestrong.

although thats the name of the cause, it could be something like 'endless powder'

As for the color, id say ozone is very fitting.
 
i don't know if you could use the NS logo or the website name or whatever without going through 411 or whatever or at least contacting bishop and those people. but it sounds like a good idea if it could work.
 
I like the idea, but I'm definitely not a bracelet person. I still think a collaboration with StandStrongAgain and newschoolers.com would be awesome. I'm not saying you have to do it but I'd love a sick designed shirt that when I bought it, proceeds went to StandStrongAgain.
 
id def. be down...go wit neon blues, orange, purple, green that kinda color...kinda like the afterbang idea fer the words...that or "shin bang survivor"
 
if the proceeds are going to Stand Strong Again then shouldn't it say StandStrongAgain or something? seems like that would make the most sense, and anything else would be kind of stupid. but i like the idea to help out that cause.
 
me and powdahchowda almost did this about 4-5 years ago, never could get the ball rolling, but with the new NS, id guess youd have better luck.
 
This sounds like a great idea. Id definitley buy some. I think green, purple, or red would be the best ones. How about NS is life, skiing is life, or stand strong again, is awesome too. or just stand strong, but as someone else pointed out thats close to live strong, but no one cares.
 
I really think they should say "Stand Strong Again" on them. And that they should be red. I'd buy that in a second.
 
sound really cool, and why not support those recovering from skiing injuries while showing how awesome skiing is. I think the skiing is life ones would be simple but say a lot, or the stand strong again, if that is the charity they are going to
 
that sounds like a sick idea, put the phrase "go huck yourself"  on it, i would def buy one
