Sideflips and Lincoln loops.. Its time to get to the bottom of this!

Is sideflip a actual ski trick? Or is the sideflip the same as a lincoln? In this thread, you will hopefully get the answer to these questions, that have annoyed skiers in so many winter seasons.

The thing is, that i have always meant that a sideflip and a lincoln loop is not the same thing. Its like Jessica Simpson compared to Ashley Simpson, they are almost the same and defenately in family, but theres a small difference, and one is defenately better looking than the other one. A lincoln loop is more rotated backwards, and a sideflip is like a forward barrel flip. But here on newschoolers people get laughed at when they talk about a sideflip on skis.

So what do you think?

Oh.. And marry christmas :)

this has plagued people for many seasons?

a side flip is a lincoln loop. they have been around forever, and are also referred to as sunrise flips by hot doggers sometimes.

what you're referring to is a flat 3.

yeah.

but the snowboarders weren't hitting them.

they were all in the trick pipe.

it would have been cool to see them on the big jumps.

i saw shaun white at my mountain and he was on all the big jumps. he was in the olympics too.

preeeety sure sideflip is a gayper term. Never heard my homeboys say sideflip.

its lincoln loop

or L loop if your gangster like me

crazy dude. Snowboarding is like the most x-treme sport ever. I wish skiers could use the snowboard park.
