I just got both last years 102 and 112 shreditor. The 112 is my fathers, but Im holding onto it out west so he doesnt have to fly with two skis.. Ill definitely ski it a few times to see how it is, but ill be sticking to my 102. the 112 arrives today though, so Ill do a straight tape measure of the 179 later this afternoon.
There are a few quick reviews out there, with mainly good opinions. For the most part, people love them, but hard chargers looking for a one ski quiver tend to think they're too soft, and a little too hooky due the almost symmetrical taper. Fall Line said the 112s has what the JJ was missing for all those years, and ski like a Norwalk, except with a k2 feel instead of that bullshit armada feel. Heavier guys know what Im talking about..
On the recent 2015 shreditor 112 video from K2,
, Andy Mahre says "my favorite update to the ski since the previous version, is the change in the rocker profile and then also the redesigned tip and tail. It also has updated grommets.."
I think the redesign in rocker and taper he is talking about, is from the pettior 120, cuz I heard the 112s are the same this year and last. Fall line said k2 hit the the nail on the head first year around, with last years model.
