Shred the GNAR southern style- TN

Hey y'all, I just moved back down south to Tennessee after a stint in the northeast for a few years and getting stoked to get on skis for the season! I'm bored as fuck at work and I figured I'd see what the stoke factor is around these parts. When do these places normally start opening up? Should I trade my skins in for a pair of fulltilts? Where's the least crowded place to ride? ANy fellow East Tennesseeians

Whats up bro, I live over in knoxville and work park crew up at ober. You probably do not need those skins. But since you have been gone there have been some changes. Ober added a terrain park a few years back and the freestyle scene completely blew up around here. We added Snow Magic snow machines that can blow snow in 70 degree weather that is going to help us open earlier and stay open later. As for season, We will have our inaugural Back in Blue rail jam on thursday dec. 6th if your would like to come watch or ride. Ill be working and competing in it if you would like to give a NS shout out.

Weather has kinda warmed up so our scheduled opening date of dec. 7 might be pushed back a tad bit, but it shouldnt be too much longer after that.

you can get some early season riding over at Cataloochee and Appalachian in NC (App is doing $5 lift tickets this sunday btw.)

If you have any other questions feel free to pm me, I know the whole southeast area fairly well

I'll probly be going to ober sometime this season. Are you guys gonna have any jumps later in the season? Also what rails are you gonna have up opening weekend?

honestly i have no clue what our set up is going to look like, but I will say we are going to start doing things a bit differently in the park now though. We are going to start doing features by skill level: 1 beginner, 1 intermediate, 1 advance type deal. And the set up for back in blue is going to be killer, I just cant give out the details. So come on out and have some fun

O and as far as jumps, we are going to try our hardest to prioritize on more jumps and more quality jumps this year, but that all comes with weather and how snow permits. We will try our hardest to build what we can
