Showreel 010|011

Well, I bought my cam about a year ago now, and unfortunately I won't be able to film much this summer (pretty sad about that) so I thought I will make a little mix of the shots I'm the most proud/happy of (well, only a few, got a lot more I would have loved to put in, but a 10 minute showreel isn't interesting either). So here it is!

If you got any feedback, tips, advices, anything, I would enjoy it!

And don't miss the next Awone Films' movie, dropping this fall (some footage will be in it, like the wallride or some more BC shots!)

Thanks in advance

I wish it was longer, I actually really enjoyed all of the shots. +k for some amazing videography - especially because it's only your first year.

Very cool, I like your transitions in the biking scene, really neat. Did you come up with that? what was your inspiration? everything else was very nice, good color ballance and all. How old are you if you dont mind me asking?

Amazing.

Obviously you have a dolly or a slider for your side to side movement, but what do you use for your vertical movement?

so sick. but shouldnt your reel have other shots other than skiing?! but for a action sports reel, so dope.

@Freshbakedbread : My biggest inspiration would be AJ Dakoulas, I was always a fan of those 4bi9 edits, and the one who gave me really the motivation to film was the Slamina trailer. Otherwise for the transitions, in this edit, I just put one sequence after the other, matching with the music, and tried some random transitions on FCP.. And I tried to make a little storyline, not put random shots in a random order! And I'm 19.

@MADDECENT: well yes, I bought a Glidetrack SD. For the "vertical" movements, I just put the tripod at the very end of the Glidetrack, and put the other end on the floor, it would look like a triangle, I don't know if you see it haha. That's the reason why it only makes kinda like a diagonal movement, always on the same vertical level!

@[-mvee-]: that's true, I was still in school and hadn't had much time. Plus I'm not really into filming lifestyle, but I have to agree that there's a huge lack of other things than sports, I'm going to improve that one!

Thanks for the positive feedback!

So sick man! I like the use of the glidetrack to make the crane tilt effect. Just wondering but are you using a polarizer in any of your ski shots?
