Show me your quiver

Do it! They're a blast. They're definitely not devastators tho, they are pretty dang light and have a lot of taper. They are stiff, and very poppy despite no camber. They carve like a mf but because they're so stiff they don't have that 'unsinkable' feeling. Best in light snow, kinda a lot of work in heavy wet snow tbh.

have you skied the devastators before? if so how'd you like em and how'd you compare them to these in terms of float, chargeability, maneuverability, etc.

There's a good chance I will never have this many skis again. One last shot of the fam before I start selling off the overlap.

[tag=272641]@Bended_Toenail[/tag] honest I cant tell you, ironicy tried the revolt 104 more on the soft than 121, I've been out for 5-6 weeks (while we had pow dumps) and only recently back on snow, so only tried them on harder stuff, but they seem promising, they have some backbone to them, but rocker profile and everything else suggest they will be good on soft. I can ski again'ish so will get back with an update. its been -10 to -20 ...to -25c lately, so little snow :|

[tag=40834]@FUUUCK[/tag]

its finesse vs power really, I baby the shit out of the shifts, the duke PT 16 just feels like a jester (maybe even more solid since its heavier toe) I only do small/medium jumps with the shifts, if any, and try to land perfect. I put my GF on the moment blister pro, she is ... 55%? of my weight, she just skied, couldnt tell any difference and was happy. so I think weight + how you ski is a thing. Some people have 0 issues with shifts, some have tons.

Got some Line Invaders signed by the Travelling Circus crew in a cupboard as well, totally dead, did so many butters on them that the developed a rocker profile...

I've always wanted a pair of those Anthems with the snowboarders on them. Anthems always had the best topsheets.

Guess I got a quiver now.

181 Magnus 90’s w/ attack 13 for those park days and gettin jibby

186 Jeffery 108’s w/ attack 16 for when I wanna go fast. First time skiing em today the stability in chop blew me away.

That Jeffrey looks beautiful

Thanks man, I was really in between top sheets but I’m glad I stuck with this one. I love how it looks with the black/red attacks I have on em. They ski even better than they look though

Did a little custom top job on these Stockli Stormrider 88s to match a set with a carver board and powder snowskate.

They have a full titanal sheet in em, right under the top laminate.

So, I sanded off the laminate, polished the titanal with an ultra fine grit, and clear coated it.

The ski looks all gnarly and reflective, like I cut and glued on a piece of sheet metal in my garage.

But they're hand painted pink, so people can tell that their my skis and some man didn't give then to me. An extra layer of intrigue.

The skis had a big ol JB Weld structural repair and the topsheets were hideous, so I didn't really feel bad about it.

Shot this little banger with the rest of the girls though ?

Started working on all of em in October and didnt finish till February.

Was busy with mismatched setups, parts needing replacement, general maintenance, pimping out, sizing up, painting... each piece was a whole freaking project in itself... But eventually got em all car show ready!

Couldnt resist taking this Iron Throne picture with em lol.

Shit, it really does gives my living room a nice "Skate Dojo" feel though.

Anyways, each snowskate and eskate are paired with a sister skateboard that has the same dryland vibe.

The skis belong in trios, just like the Lari Extraordinary Love Tour set I just posted above.

All worth the work!

It used to actually be a bigger pile of dirty nasty mismatched blown out bullshit.

I managed to salvage and restore most of it, but a lot of the skateboard decks were way too small or rotting and had to be replaced.

I started skating very young, so a lot of the boards were totally outgrown, outdated, collecting dust and in need of parting out. Nice memories, but no need to cling to them. I can appreciate them more if I'm riding their good parts in a kush setup.

Same idea with some of my collectibles. I'd honestly rather pull parts off and ride em in other setups.

I'm like a proud parent!

I ski 70-100 days a year, and enjoy skiiing new stuff and trying out everything, I love the variation and technolgy/R&D/heart put into the products and ideas behind them.

(Also because I can)

I have 5 pairs of skis and have to force myself to ride the skis that don't get the attention they deserve couldn't imagine a quiver of that size and trying to decide what to ride.

I feel the same, each ski has its own feeling and vibe, my quiver will be like yours one day, I’m at 11 now...

I’ve got 11 and it’s hard deciding, no matter where I go or what the conditions are, I love them all like kids and it’s hard and can be time consuming picking, and as said above, sometimes you gotta just pick the least used to give em some love

No shame in being a gear nerd. Compared to climbers this ain't a bad case of it yet.

What’s scary is [tag=271284]@anders_a[/tag] still needs Dynastar MPro 105 and maybe 2021 Candide 1.0 for some short park skis! That’s an AWESOME collection!!

I’ve bought/sold about 32 pairs in the last 10 years usually run a quiver of 4-6 pairs and sell off the old ones. Have 7 pairs now but probably selling the 2 Volkl pairs next Fall.

190 Moment Wildcat/Attacks

184 Candide 3.0/Attacks

183 Candide 2.0/Attacks

183 Candide 1.0/Attacks

184 Kendo 88/Attacks

184cm eTitan/Attacks

182cm Deacon 84

Apparently my pro riders shipped today ? gonna be sooo hard waiting for next season to ski them ?

They will rip and you’ll love them!!!

I’m in the same boat with those Candide 1.0 and my new hard snow skis, the Head eTitan. They look great on the basement floor and that’s about all I know! ?

Gave them both full tunes and put some wax on them so they are ready to roll for next Fall.

This would honestly stress me out so much. Trying to pick the perfect ski for conditions on any given day and then it being wrong. It is a great collection though, glad it works for you.

Same, I feel like each ski has a different feel and wants different input. I need to know where to stand on the pair of skis I’m riding. How they pop. How they bend. Finding skis that work for you and learning how to work them is such a satisfying thing. I would have a minor panic attack if you told me I couldn’t ride my Deathwish’s tomorrow.

Changing ski often can be a "B" in a way, but in the end makes you a better skier.

When you get one pair dialed in, then switch it up and do the same. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Ski short, ski long, ski wide, ski narrow, ski, ski, ski!!!

would you be so kind as to sell me some?

80% is usually for sale to buddies at any given time, and about 5-10% for sale online. If I have friends over and the point at a pair they want, they will get it.

[tag=157767]@extravert[/tag]

this is a valid point, and a thing, but you get used to it, I used to have the car FULL of skis on any given day, but now Im quite happy with 2-3 pairs, when going to mountain, and provided we have the space I will often bring like 6-8 pairs, but only if buddies wants, this lets me test more of my skis, and also they get to ride whatever they want. Like this weekend, I brought 4 pairs, for 3 buddies, buddy nr 3 brought 2 pairs, so we had 6 pairs of ski, for 4 dudes, we did switchup the skis after lunch and about 30k vert before continuing.

Beeing able to 100% nail snow conditions is just damn fun. Ohh mountain is frozen over and 100% ice? yeah no worries, grab a skinny, surprise pow left in the forest? grab something floaty.

The real struggle with a large collection of skis, and new skis you actually ski is waxing and upkeep of edges and such, I do outsource a lot of it like stonegrinds etc, but I do spent quite some time on it. Also its a chore, not enjoyment at this stage for the maintenance part. but I can wax a pair of skis, and mount bindings fast.

How often do you play around with mount point on the same ski? I've found that can make a big difference, turning a directional carver into a playful ski for example. Also do you ever write reviews? Its always interesting to see direct comparisons between skis.

I spend way to much time contemplating mount points, on some skis as you can see in pic I have bindingfreedom, and multiple mount points on same ski, on other skis I have 2 pairs, with different mounts. Mount points are important for sure.

I dont write full reviews, but I do sometimes write something supershort and post in gear, also I tend to pm [tag=249646]@Greg_K[/tag] when I find something magic and "get theese". Also comment on blister's reviews from time to time with info I feel is valid for others.
