Shoutout Icelantic

So I busted my edge pretty bad doing a switch lip. I was going quite fast and didn’t lift my foot enough.

1040522.jpeg(Nothing a little JB weld and a blowtorch couldn’t fix)

E-nailed icelantic about maybe getting them under warranty, full well knowing that I didn’t fill out the forum within 30 days Of buying the skis and using them in the park, which violates their warranty agreement twice.

They still offered to replace them with next years model and even suggested to ski them another year because the warranty lasts 3 years.

One of the most underrated brands out there. Crazy fun ski. Sure they may not be into the park scene as much as Vishnu or Line or ON3P but I’ve heard nothing but good things about their customer service / them standing behind their products. Seems like they definitely respect their park riders out there.

but that still doesn’t make me not (partially) hate em for discontinuing the Da’Nollie. ???

They gave Calvin Barrett a pro model, therefore whenever my 2019 poachers break (unlikely) I’ll prob invest in some nomads, Icelantic rules

Heard great things about the skis and company, just dont love their graphics

I like some of their graphics a lot, just not a fan of the fact that they put indigenous stuff on their skis but don't hire indigenous artists. Would be nice if they follow Vishnus recent example

I wish I was a better skier the last time I rode Nomads (2016?), I probably would've gotten them over Line Sick Days and they would've lasted more than 1.5 seasons. Always been a fan of Icelantic

Wish I could afford

Buy used, I can’t afford either. Plus they’ll randomly be for sale on small-shop websites. Nomad 105s we’re on a site last week for 468, you just have to keep eyes open.

I would be lying if I said I didn’t dump basicly all my money into these skis( and a clapped out station wagon)

Wonder if they’d honor warranty if I bought from a retailer. Probably not

You're an idiot. Warranties are not affected if you purchase through an auth. retailer just like every other fucking brand out there.

I only skied some at demos and loved them.

Also heard great things from friends in revy who swear by em. Did not know how awesome customer service was though. Very cool!

I’ve been thru way too many brands and this is the only company I’ve bought two of the same ski from. Durability is bomber, the skis are beyond fun, and customer service is top notch

They’re setting you up dog. When you try to claim the warranty in a year they’ll have some reason no to honor it.

Half joking, but for real, from any manufacturer, until the new skis are in your hand, don’t believe anything.

Oh look, another fucking idiot. If in writing they say they'll fulfill the warranty, they have to. And you kids wonder why manufacturers tend to not believe the consumer. Its because you jackasses make shit up.

Dude, you’re the fucking kook. I’ve worked in bike and ski shops for years and have seen it multiple times. An email is not a binding contract, and companies go back on stuff regularly. Warranties are written to be vague so that they are not binding and it’s discretionary. A company could very well receive the skis and say they didn’t understand the severity of the damage from the photo and that it’s actually not a warranty case.

Until you have it in your hand, it’s not guaranteed.

Dude, you and that shop that's dumb enough to hire you are kooks. Its common for companies to do photo warranties so yeah, guaranteed via email and I've never heard of a company "backing" out of a promise to fulfill a warranty. So you're either lying like you gen-z pieces of trash love doing, or you don't know how to fucking read emails.

Or you aren’t as worldly as you like to believe. But stay mad and keep making assumptions.
