Shouldnt There Be Ski Demos at Mountains like there are Skate demos at parks?

I was in class today and thought that it would be so sweet if pro skiers with there teams like for instance the orage team went to mount snow and did demos. just like skate teams go to parks and demo. they could do tours around the U.S and stuff and im sure it would be really profitable.

I've always thought that would be cool. i belive the orage team actually did a fw stops a couple of years ago, it woud have been rad to be able to go.

yeah just like a skate demo at a skate park like mountains could reserve or cut off a section of a park for part of a day and have pros come demo and shit and kids could meet the pros... have mini comps.... get shwag just stuff like that to promote their companies. i feel when skiing gets more and more popular companies will start to do that. they should go to unknown mountains too.

that cant be possible for some mountains cause then it would just be like a comp or something. mountain wouldnt make any money. no one wants to hike up the whole park.

big mountains cant do that.

that would be sick as hell, but i would imagine that would only just throw a wrench into the whole filming/comp schedule for a lot of riders. Just getting around the country and being able to show up to do that would be really tough i bet.

ha nice yeah i just feel like its not just a good way to help companies get bigger but like lots of people still just ski and not park ski. By seeing demos like this the freestyle community could like double in size ha. putting more mulah back into companies. and it would be sick to see pros kill it at the park that you go to all the time ya dig?

i remember the Orage team came to Boyne Mountain in my home state of michigan a few years ago. I didn't go but I think it was a really cool event.

that would be a sick idea, if it happened at a time of the year when the comp season was quieter, because as was said in another post, for some riders it would be a pain to fit it in on top of the other traveling at times

armada does an armada tour in europe: you get an afternoon tutoring by pros and you get to demo the latest armada skis....
you just have to pay entry for the slope and a small fee, but that includes merchandising and a meal and drink....

orage pros and powder your pretty much was that, it was pretty cool. Not nearly as intense and packed as a skate demo (at least not at stowe) but it was cool, Mike Nick was skiing around with his like 1 year old the last one i was at

well for all you east coasters older than say 17 should remember "THE SIVER SESSIONS" those were pretty much the equivalent of skate demos for skis.. i wish i could have been at those. mike wilson, D.C., Mike Nick, etc... those would have been epic

R.I.P. Siver cartel!

Word, I'm from Michigan as well and Orage came through two or three years ago, i remember we got 16' over night and like 18" that day, the pros were taking runs with kids and stuff, it was turbo sweet.

Siver Sessions, D-Jams, Orage, Glen Plake Down Home Tour, NS Slopesteeze tour...I remember those

Thanks collin, it would just be so cool to have pros do a demo in a really low key chill environment where they and the locals could all throw down and chill and promote there company, team etc.
