Should Ski/Snowboard Big Air Be Like Skateboard/BMX Big Air?

That would be sick! It might discourage landing switch on the jump though.

Big air is sick enough as it is but that would an awesome idea...I would make it a totally separate event

This is true.

But man this is such a sweet idea!!!!! I like it a lot. They should have a "big air kicker" and "big air QP", same exact competitors.

And didnt they have something like this at Sammy Carlson Invitational?(If that's the one where Henrik did the nosebutter cork) It was a jump then a wallride, both judged together AND separately.

Yeah they had a big wallride. Not sure about quarterpipe tho.

I think just a plain QP event would be good jump infront wouldnt be needed?

High North Ski Camp used to host a big air competition on their lane in the summer that was jump to quarterpipe.

It was dope.

I actually competed the year this video was made. I believe I did a switch 3 (undershot and bailed) followed by a 360 mute to going huge on the qp to bellyflopping on the deck and concussing myself. Good times! Highlight for sure was Turpin doing all sorts of switch flippy spinny tricks with a backpack on. Such a boss!
