Should I wait till next year to get new skis?

I'm into this years alphas but not sure really what's coming out next year. I've heard some of armadas skis are relatively unchanged for 2015. If anyone has any suggestions for any other skis that would be great. I ski about 70% park and 30% all mtn (ice coast), I'm 5,6 and around 130 pounds. I don't really want an all mountain ski, more a ski that's durable and shreds well in the park (50% jumps & 50% rails). That's what I want but are the alphas a good choice, they are more an all mountain ski but I like how they aren't to stiff and by others info it's pretty good in the park. I like the atomic infamous but seen too many threads about it having problems. Am I making the right choice or should I wait till next year and miss the good end of season deals right now.

season is nearly over so i would wait a little bit longer for the sales to start popping up on this years gear. you said you liked this years model, so if all they do is change the graphic (which is probably all they are going to do) just wait it out. not sure if this helps answer your question or not

I'm not sure because I'm broke so i don't want to wait till next year for the same thing. So my plan is to get something good for cheap because right about now my only pair if skis are broken. I'm really worried though, I want to get the right skis not ones that will hold me from progressing because they don't suit my needs (thanks for the advise tho :)

The alphas had gone through a huuuge change this year, so next years will be the same but with different graphics, so save some money and get this years.

You'll have a better deal regarding the price of the ski if you wait for the end of the season sales that'll most likely occur at your local shop. If you go ahead on paying for a pair of Alpha X's, just remember that you'll most likely have to wax the bases a lot because of the race base, or as Armada would call it a "comp base," on the bottom of the ski.

2014 Alpha X are quite still. Stiffer than the Alpha 1s from '13. I had the '13 model and found that they were great and all but a little too narrow. I got myself the Halo 2s, same sidecut as the Alpha X, but softer. Softer than the Halos from '13. I much rather the wider underfoot (95 compared to 83), riding all mountain with a wider underfoot makes it much better for shredding through crud and with the rockered profile, they are amazing in the park. I ride 95% park with my halos and love it! When it snows less than 10cm I'll still grab them and they can handle the snow, even when it's in the park.

Hope this helps. Don't know what's in store for '15, but if you can get them for cheap, you'll probably love them!
