Should i press charges?

On Wednesday night chilling in the park after school with some mates having a few drinks and we ran out at about 9 o'clock. Me and one other guy went to buy another slab and on the way back some Lads asked me for some darts as i was carrying the slab and only had rollies in my back pocket i told him i couldn't be fucked rolling him any, then he started asking for some beers and i told him to fuck off, after which he started getting really close and told me to give him the slab which i once again blatantly refused. One of them then hit me in the back of the head a couple of times and they asked for the slab again with yet another refusal, after that the bigger one (pics later) bottled me with his fucking beer in the side of my head and the other ripped the slab out of my hands.

They then ran off i started after them until one pulled a knife and called me out, i backed the fuck off (didn't feel like getting stabbed surprisingly) and my mate was already on the phone to the cops. they showed up and started looking for them but no luck.

The next day i asked some mates who i thought would know them and he gave me some names which i looked up on facebook and its definitely them. also asked what they were like and apparently they would have stabbed me without hesitation and they often hang around the exact same area as me and most of my friends so its likely i will run into them again.

So i ask you NS should i press charges on them? all i really wanted from the cops was to get our slab back and thats not going to happen anymore. If i do press charges and i run into them again which is quite likely then i'm likely to get stabbed. I have to see the cops tomorrow morning to give a visual description (they dont know i have their names) so should i just let it go or press charges?

SPARKNOTES: Got rolled for a slab of beer by some local lads and i found out their names but i am likely to run into them again so dont know if i should press charges.

not saying it's your fault in any way, but you probably should have just nicely told the guys off instead of just a blatant "fuck off".
 
if theyre part of a bigger gang its probably better not to press charges, if its just that lil group of fags then hell yea press charges

yeah normally we see them in a group of about 20+ of em but no doubt they'd know other people coz we figured out who they were pretty quick from asking a mate who knows most of the laddy kids in the area.

Trust me. If you send an envelope to their house with flour in it, they will shit themselves thus having them return the slab of beer.
 
i did at first, i'm pretty used to dealing with shifty characters asking for ciggies and stuff but when they asked for the slab i knew they were gonna get a bit aggressive so i wasn't gonna let em walk over me.

anyway, knowing they have a group of 20+ people, i wouldnt press charges. if anything just fuck with their property.
 
well if it's a bigger gang. I wouldn't get involved.

Tip off the police, but do in anonymously. This way, you can stay uninvolved, but the police can be aware of recent aggressive behavior from the gang.
 
I concur. You can still pull of an successful anthrax epidemic. People just forgot about it so they will least expect it.

on another note it is the last week of year 12 here (muckup week) and some cunts from another school egged and flour bombed my car which has stripped all the fucking paint off.

Revenge is sweet, but it just breeds more hate and will probably cause more problems for everyone in the future. You have to know when to just cut your losses. Like another guy said, maybe just tip off the police if this is a serious problem. (Have similar occurrences happened to anyone else?)

If they continue to fuck with you, stab them with your needledick. (or just get the police involved then lol)
 
i was thinking of telling the police their names but not pressing charges so they get them on file for it but if they are charged at all for it they would recognize me anyway and would assume i ratted them in..... hence stabbing commences.
 
if you were really hurt then press charges for whatever you think is reasonable..
if it was just a miscommunication/stupid kids and it might not be worth it (if you will be around them in the future) then just let it go. if they are that quick to start a fight then they'll get whats coming to them at one point or another

I understand the mates and lads part. What the fuck is a slab? Like a bottle of liquor? A backpack? What do you mean by rollies? Are they pressies, rolls, e pills? Or are they rolling papers or a cigs or something?

I'm so confused. If you were selling rolls, you probably have little case for charges getting robbed. You gotta protect ya neck. I mean it sucks but it happens. I really don't think I have a damn clue what your talking about.

I'll read the thread and see if it starts making more sense. Hard to be sympathetic when I don't know what the fuck you're talking about

lads - hardcore dropout fuckwits who have nothing to do in their lives and go around 'rollin cunts' more for entertainment than actual goods, usually wogs but not always and wear nautica shit and trackies.

slab - a case of beer

rollies - cigarettes rolled with tobacco from a pouch

rolled - mugged for items of value

darts - just normal cigarettes

bottled - having a beer bottle either thrown directly at often resulting in it smashing or prior smashing of bottle and using it as a weapon.
