Should I keep watching the Sopranos?

I just got through with the first season of the Sopranos. To be honest I didn't see anything special about it. Obviously I'm in the minority considering it was one of the biggest things on television when it was still airing. I really don't want to go through another 5 seasons and its the same.

So I ask the question to NS. Does it get better, or if I'm not in to it first season should I just quit?
 
Absolutely yes...while meadow does in fact get fat you get to see Tony curb stomp some guys face into the ground in one of the later seasons to defend her honor and it more than makes up for it
 
When I first saw it I was expecting "The Godfather" on TV but it was just different enough that I kinda got let down. That was a couple years ago.
 
i just got done watching them all, half on demand and half on dvd's. imo yeah its definitely worth it, like most other shows it gets slow at times but its far and away my favorite tv show. besides maybe the simpsons when it was good.

btw if you decide youre not gonna stick with it, you might want to at least watch the end. youll probably be able to figure out whats going on and its exciting!
 
Well, if you didn't see anything special now, might be that it just isn't for you. If you have time, I'm sure the characters will grow on you.

Sopranos has one of THE best episodes of any series ever:

"Pine Barrens."

Without a doubt some of the best shit I've ever seen.
 
hahaha yeah i thought that was probably the one. thing is, (SPOILER ALERT) i hate how it's never resolved really (he prob died but they never say for sure or get any closure)
 
I know, man. Maybe they saved him for a while, but then other plot points came to be more important. Actually, I think I'm gonna watch it right now! Hahah.
 
yeah i thought they might bring it back at some point. like when tony threw that gun in the snow when that dude he was meeting with got popped, in one of the season finales, then it came back later cause they found that gun. but it never happened

btw we sound like Lost fans right now.. shit
 
Oh snap. I AM a Lost fan. Well, for a couple of more weeks anyway. I watched all the seasons up to 5 in about one week when I was sick so I got hooked.
