So I’m 16 I just got a job, I got 2 grand saved up and I’m willing to blow it all on skis. I’m trying to learn park rn and all the soft skis look really fun to use like the 1000s , or I could go with some custom on3p Jeffrey 100s and put a soft flex on them. Those are the options I’m looking at rn. Which one do you think is better or is there another ski you would recommend. Thanks

really do not recommend blowing 2 grand on anything at your age. i promise you will want that money at college or sum. I also don’t recommend buying either of those skis if you are still learning park. I really think the way to go is a cheap beater that you can crash with and not care. Check sales online for the faction prodigy 1 or line hunneybadger if you want softer. some will say those skis aren’t durable enough but it almost don’t matter when you can go through one pair and then buy another while still being cheaper combined than either of your proposed options.

1000s are shit don’t get sucked into instagram skiing I have Jeffry 108s please please don’t buy 1000s they are so bad on3ps are way cooler and better 1000s are literally made of saw dust

Look at localsale marketplace or snowshare on Instagram and listen don't spend it all on skis. Save for a car like you could get a decent car for 4k. Spend like 300 on a solid used pair

i’ve been riding 1000s for a season and a half and they’ve been holding up great

I have mounted a few pairs and rode my firends they are literally made of dust and they can’t handle any speed or charge they aren’t tuff at all but I do t know how aggressive you are in skiing so they might work for you but I think they are they most shit skis you Can buy and they are expensive as hell

That’s just the style of ski tho. you would never expect a ski that soft to charge or hold up in bad conditions. vishnu’s wets and line blends ski very simular in hard stuff. they are meant and advertised to be noodles.

Glad you got your first paycheck. It’s always better to have money saved then not.

buy a used park ski don’t blow it on 1000s or a custom layup Jeff. Buy a used ski or find a last years new one for cheap. Prodigy 1 is a good rec

Why would you not just get a Mango instead of a Jeffrey custom?

So the mango’s still have good all mountain ability? Thats the reason I want the Jeffrey’s they can handle both

I have Jefferys with custom soft flex. They arent as soft as you would think. Best performing ski i’ve ever rode tho

Have you though about vishnus, just got a pair of wides and Im also new to park skiing and I love them, the 500 is also nice compared to ON3Ps and 1000 skis.

Don't spend more than 700 on your whole setup for starting out. Look for some line honeybadgers or something cheaper. Another brand is Liberty skis and they are usually built pretty solid and you can find them cheaper here and there.
