Should I drill a third set of binding holes in my armadas

*noob alert*

First season skiing park and I needed a pair of thrashers. Got a pair of 2009 armada arv's for 25 bucks with perfect bases. I was pretty stoked about getting them that I didn't notice that they'd been mounted twice. I can mount a rossi binding in the same holes but its not a true center mount. I just want to buy some lower end bindings and true center mount them. Should I just go for a third mount? Do I need true center? Are rossi bindings even good for park?

Nothing wrong with 3 mounts as long as holes arent in the way. i wouldnt say you need true center, but it sounds like what you want. the recommended line is quite a bit back from center on those skis so i cant imagine they would ski very good anywhere but park at center. rossi bindings will be fine for park, get axials if you want to go with rossis.

First off, $25 for those skis is a awesome deal nice job. Just be careful, $25 for skis with a perfect base almost sounds too good.

People will tell you varying answers for this, a 3rd mount is pushing it but not unheard of. You can mount bindings in the same holes as previous if the bindings have the same screw pattern as the previous mount (helicoil).

A shop tech will most likely tell you not to, but it's ultimately up to you.

shops will say its a bad idea but you really have nothing to lose on $25 skis. i personally will mount a ski 3 times if i need to but i usually end up breaking the ski before thats necessary
