A dude put a pair of 174cm telemark skis in my ski shops swap meet and wants $25? Should I try to free the heel or nah. I've kind of always wanted to try tele skiing.
Should I buy telemark skis.

Free the heel, free the mind. I don't telemark but I have touring bindings and I'll never pass up hiking some trail to get to a powder pocket. I saw these dudes slaying the park on tele's last season, just hitting rails and jumps with their heels free like a ballsack swinging around

Last season during the first few days I saw a guy trying to learn how to tele. It was hilarious because he'd fuckin faceplant anytime he'd try to make a quick turn.
I bet he was doing it to make the most out of the one or two runs open, so as long as he had fun who am I to judge. Haven't seen him since so either he got good and I didn't notice or he doesn't tele anymore
