Shorter Skis??

i got my skis last year, and i grew alot. height wise, mine about your mouth to nose height?? too short??? im like 5 feet

anything but a beginner should have skis at their forehead. my type of riding. couple inches above, maybe more.

all of these people tellin u that short skis are unacceptable are completely wrong. short skis perform just as well as the respective long ski in nearly every terrain. yes, they will be less stable and yes they will sink easier in the pow, but other than that, a short ski is much more prefferable ie they are much easier to manuver when u get in a jam and they can be thrown around a lot easier in the park. unless u can upgrade for less than ~$100, i would say just stick with the skis u already bought and love.

but one other thing....how short r those skis if ur only five feet tall? if ur really that short, and small, u probably dont need to worry about the performance difference in size ne way.

get a ski thats your height or a little longer because ur still gonna be growing during the season

It really doesn't matter that much. Unless you are hitting huge stuff or skiing nasty stuff you don't need skis that over your head or any of that.

I wish I had longer skis.

I ride 168 scratch FS's and I'm now 5'11" 165. I did the same thing. Bought them when I was 5'7". Broke my leg which triggered a huge growth spurt. And now I have to wait until next year to get new ones. My next ones will be at least 179.

what the fucka re u talking about? u miost be like 12 years old or be reatared becasue if u have skis that are like 3 inchs longer than, that has nothing to do with your skiing ability...

and too the thread, no its fine...if u have the money to drop on new skis, go for it, but like me...dont...use them for one more season...sell em and get new ones as in 06/07
