Shortening Poles?

Does anyone do this? If so how much have you shortened them? I've talked to a couple of mogul and park skiers who have and say it helps them.

 
i really just want to know how short most people go. normally i use 48 inch poles and im just wondering how short i could go.

 
I bought a pair of carbon fibre Goode kids poles from Lake Louise for $15. I love them. shorter poles keep you forward more, attacking the hill. Plus you can get nice light kids poles for cheap. and I'm 6 feet tall.

im just gonna sling crystal meth so i dont have to get a real job and can afford to ski, with the way my senior year is goin though thats probably one of my few options

I get teh proper size poles becuase it makes it easier to ski steeps

I am a skier because skiing needs a future

um unfortunately out in ohio theres not much steeps. i really only ski moguls and freeride. everyone i've talked to has said shorter poles are better. im just not sure how short to go...
