Corbett's is pretty much the only real good ski shop in ontario. it's in oakville. get off the qew onto Dorval or Kerr and go south to Spears, turn left (east) from Dorval or right (west) from Kerr and it's on the south side of the street.

it's got a ton of twins to chose from and lots of other good stuff...

mountain masters in ottawa/manotick...armada siver cartel sessions oakley dynnstar itsonly high end freestyle shit..its20mins from downtown ottawa

Keep in mind that none of these places are "core" shops as you seem to be looking for. No such place exists in ontario unfortunately.

instead of looking for "core" your gonna find the "store with the most twin tips in one area" which i have found to be Senecals in Newmarket. its in between Barrie and Toronto.

good place, but the owner is a jerk. He got mad at me and started shouting because i wanted to buy a pair of madtrix (this was like 2-3 years ago), and he said hed order some in. After he ordered them he said he wanted 600 bucks for them (these were the previous years model), and corbetts was selling them for $200, so i said, "sorry, but thats too much" (i also didint want to pay 450 bucks he wanted for p12's). SO he got mad, said i wasnt supporting my store and i left and didnt come back for a year.

Thier prices have improved since then, and the staff themselves are really nice, although, make sure you know your product inside out before you go or they may try some fancy sales talk on you.. iv seen it.

sign of the skiier in toronto... family owned and great staff, very race oriented, but if you know what you want they will order anything in for you and they have good prices. and the owners daughter is gorgeous.

select sports in kitchenr is pretty rad, good deals, espically now, you may want to call ahead to see what they have in for twins, and corbetts is always good!

yeah thats true... if you're shopping at the sign of the skier make sure you dont get stung,

but yeah i guess i just get good stuff from them because i know them really well, but like i said if you already know what you want they will order it in and they will beat sportinglifes prices by alot, you just need to go in there and show them you know what you are talking about.

corbetts. they have by far the best selection, and definitely the best prices. you can't beat them. probibly the best prices in canada. no other shop compares.

dude... i didnt ever read your post fully.. but i used to work part time there when i lived in toronto... im pretty sure most people who work there understand what is going on. and most shops do charge a little to order in something for you... because they are paying shipping.. but most skiis cost more than $40 shipping so they are actually loosing money, i agree with nomensteven.. there definatly are some snooty people that work there. but the owner is one of the nicest guys i have ever met..

my PEs had alot of damage to them because i tend to do that to skiis, and K2 wouldnt warranty them... his store payed for shipping to K2 and back and then he repaired all the problems for free.... that sounds like some damn good customer service if you ask me...

i dont care if people point out some things like the fact a few people who work there are snooty, its they way some people there are, but then alot of people there are very polite and knowledgeable as well, it just depends who the salesperson who comes up to you is.

big deal who gives a fuck if one of the people thinks orage is a snowboard company... the sign happens to sell more snowboards than twintips and because its a small shop they arent going to hire a freeski expert, and there are alot of snowboarders who think orage is a snowboard company, we should feel good as skiers that a skiing company has made enough of an impact that it is thought to be part of the "cooler" sport of snowboarding.

im totally cool if you have constructive critcism and will infact tell paul the owner anything that i hear that could better his shop... but dont go making bullshit up and blowing small things that happen at most ski shops out of proportion just to make it look like you know what you are talking about.

dude if the salesperson give you skiis that fit at the time its not thier problem if you grow out of them... its not thier job to know how fast you are growing... and the problem with twintips is people have diferent preferances.. some like longer skis, others like shorter skis, they are there to tell you about the quality of the product. not how much you will like it. and im not sure if you read my wholw post but I am on NS, and as a said i worked there part time, and i still talk with the owner quite alot, and do occasionally give him ideas, and as far as prices... they are really the sme eveywhere you go. i know corbetts has good prices, but the sign has better prices than skiis and biikes, and sporting life... so its basically the best shop as far as price goes. i think you just had a bad experience with your/your parents own lack of forsight and are blaming it on the shop you dealt with that year.

the only store in orillia that carries twins is selling a pair of like 2003 atomics for over the origional asking price.

sign of the skier is pretty good. rob ur the man buddy i prob talked to u for an hour when i was there and ur very knowledgable about ur stuff. hes tryin to make it better and there are sum guys in the shop who no there shit. so dont always be bagging on them.

haha if you lived in oakville you'd understand. Up by glen abbey where i live theres like houses worth like 5.5 mill. So alot of income to waste in oakville : / and spoiled rich kids.

go to corbetts, sick shop and if you get to know people there youll proly get some decent discounts and quicker service, thats what i did for a few years and now they know me by name
