Shop cannot mount my bindings.. Help....

Need some advice before I waste time bringing my skis somewhere else.

So I brought my skis to the shop to be tuned, tested, and fit to my boots for the season. Pretty old Armada ar6's.

Anyway the shop told me that they needed to be remounted because one of the screws ripped out of its drill hole. They went to remount them and said they couldn't do it because the core was rotted and the screw would end up ripping out again.

They were already mounted twice if that has any effect.

So I am asking do the cores really rot? I figure the ski that didn't have the screw ripped out is not rotted.

What can I do?

Thanks!

If you had a screw missin then yeah water will have got in and could have begun to rot it from the inside. UnfortunatLy it sounds like it's time for new skis. i the future if you get any pull outs get them fixed straight away.

The shop could mount your bindings, but, yes, they will rip out again. Could even be a liability for them.

if the cores are rotten, the bindings will pull out again or the core could even break. sorry but once this happens, it is just time for new skis

1 more for yes, that happens, water gets in and the core turns into basically soggy chipboard and won't even hold on to a helicoil.

Sorry to say it but those skis are done.
