Shooting girls

Hey guys, recently I've been switching up the types of photography i've been doing and now I'm going to try expirmenting with shooting girls. Not like glamour shots but more the artistic kind. I'd be using my 50mm on the t2i. I have been researching it lately but I want to know if you guys have any perticular advice for me? Any good websites or blogs you have about this? Lighting? Settings? anything is appreciated.

You're going to need to be a lot more specific than just shooting girls in an "artistic" way. What are you trying to do, what lighting, who is it for, etc. I've shot a lot of photos of girls, but I definitely can't give any general tips on it that don't apply super vaguely to portraiture as a whole.

dont just limit yourself to the 50mm. i mean..it does limit you unless u want to just go and run around and back up 1000 feet to get a wide shot... but any ways sometimes u wanna take a pic of some beautiful scenery and show the girl looking at it. or picking flowers but show the vastness of the field with a wide angle. idk man dont limit yourself. go into a shoot with everything u have and just explore!
