Shoes on party or shoes off party

If you're having a shoes off party then you aren't really partying. I've partied plenty of times with no shoes but your party isn't starting out so well if it's all about rules.

 
I personally would rather someone not grab my shoe when "shoot the boot" has started. plus, always gotta be prepared when the popo comes. No time for strapping on the nikes when they're there.
 
Depends on the setting. Small get together closer friends- 20-30 ppl ( not a party so...) Shoes off

Party- Shoes always on. So many people snake shoes or wear yours to go hack a dart. Plus people are always spilling drinks, piss, vomit and who the fuck knows on that white carpet downstairs. As mentioned cops. And shoes are good to have if you get yourself into a bad situation.
 
The big dilemma is when it turns from friendly drinky get together to the banger of the month. What is acceptable in the given situation? You respect the host/hostess but the parties nature has changed to potentially compromise the integrity of your shoes
 
People steal shoes at parties all the time, so id rather be the dick with his shoes always on than the unlucky bastard with no shoes walkin home in Canadian weather..
 
at a shitty house/ packed house/ bar shoes definitely on

at my boys house or a small gathering in which carpet is involved then the kicks best be off
 
As with most things it's not simple and depends on several factors: size of the party, how well acquainted you are to the rest of the party, carpeting, dirt level of shoes, if the organizer is a right bell-end or not and my mood.

I usually just keep them on.
