ok so basically i went to the doctors today cuz i had been feeling bad for a couple weeks and they said i have some parasite

living inside of me and my colon is all inflamed because of

it. my doctor thinks i have some diesease called like girardia or something so i had

to get blood drawn and shit in a cup for testing. they think i got itfrom drinking crappy water while hiking, since iodine doesn't kill this type of parasite. the doc is being a bitch and won't give me the drugs i need without conformation that i do have the parasite in me. in order to confirm, i have to get a "stool sample" by getting my own personal shit into a test tube. the doctor (who is a chick) suggested the saran wrap trick and taking a dump on some saran wrap. is there any way around this at all. help.

sparknotes: got a parasite in me, need to take a dump in a test tube for the doc.

umm..everytime ive gone camping we have used iodine to purify water form girrardia (sp), worse thats ever happeend to people i know that have had it is they say that they puke and have bad diarreah for a few days

i'd hate to be that doc, what a shitty job, bahdump cha! Giridia would suck man, I'm guessing you took a sip right where a deer took a leak. I've drank from rivers and streams my whole life, im lucky i dont have the bug

wel i've been throwing up and had diahrrea for probably 5 or 6 weeks sporradically and i am usually never sick. that bitch of a doctor said i might have to get a colonoscopy too. fuck.

if you do make sure to ask what kind of sensations you should expect, and how you can make it more pleasurable for you, and your doctor.

also always have a safe word.

if you are a backpakcer/ hiker and dont know about giardia you need to learn about that shit and be careful with your water. Although you will learn now I guess.

I dont usually filter or purify my water, but I am very careful. For example, I try to get water from a spring or fast moving stream high in the mountains, rather than soem shitty water down low at the bottom of the watershed where everything runs to.

If I am anywhere worried I will filer it. Or if its in a lake or pond and not moving.

well the good news is if you make it to 50 years of age your going ot have to get one anyways, but the bad news is they're going to knock you out and rape your anus with different instruments and your going to wake up really really sore....twice in your life. ouch.

Ya there really isn't any better way of getting a stool sample. Saran wrap in disposable tupperware works, the test tubes have little scoops in them. I had to give some cause I got Salmonella a couple of years ago, it was absolutely awful. I feel your pain.

my dog had giardia. shes better now. they gave me some powder to put in her food. its a transferable parasite from animals to humans

suck it up and take a shit on the saran wrap...

then leave the shitty saran wrap there, especially if you have siblings.

a kid in my school got geoardia in eight grade and had an explosive diarrhea episode in his shower.

but vibes for you and your poo.

i had to give a stool sample once.

i just filled the toilet with a bunch of toilet paper first. shit a bit. scooped it with the scooper they gave me. flushed. finished shit while staring at this test tube of my own shit in my hand.

i had something similar to that, he told me it would just go away though.

man i feel for you and your health, had serious pain the other day in my stomach area.
after three blood tests, and ultrasound, a couple visits, an overnighter (all you americans can comment about b-grade healthcare now) and the doc said today its in my liver and I either have hepatitis, or it could have been caused from using too many street drugs such as heroin or cocain. which i havnt touched. hopefully i find out tomorrow
not a tread jack or anything, just venting

similar to when i was like 8 i was constipated, bleeding shits, and only taking shits like once a week. talk about discomfort in 4th grade

yeah that sounds like giardia aka beaver fever. once you get it never actually leaves but the symptoms will go away with antibiotics or whatever it is they give you. but it can come back if you keep drinking unfiltered water. most people in 3rd world countries have it and live with it. my dad used to purposely get it at the beginning of summer so when he went out to the field to work he wouldn't get sick and feel like you do now. i got it when i was 2 and then again when i was 13. not much you can do about it other then taking the meds and hug it out.
