the Canadian Shield (pink) is Rocky Mountain-like terrain in the Midwest on a smaller scale, and some of the glacial mountains (mountains formed by glaciers) have really unique and cool shapes as opposed to mountains out west.
You obviously were east river SD. If you head west into the black hills it's killer. Great climbing, and great skiing for the Midwest. Couldn't ask for much more.
At least delaware has beaches, I'd take DE over any corn filled midwest state. Jersey and Florida also aren't that bad. Still better than any landlocked flat state if you ask me.
