Ns is a great site for videos, pictures, events, and lifestyle. Its an awesome site all around but most people don’t like it because 50% of the members abuse their privileges and talk shit for no reason about a video, picture or comment posted by another member.

I know most people don’t like it, in fact I know a few people that hate this website just for that reason, and they don’t use it anymore. I don’t get it.

Most people post videos and pictures so they can get some constructive criticism, and learn what they are doing wrong. But now, there aren’t as many videos and pictures being posted because of these stupid hurtful comments.

It pisses me off and I think that it should stop.

Agreed, but unfortunately it is simple people with simple minds feeling empowered through the annonimity of the web. Another unfortunate fact is that people give these fools exactly what they want when they retort back. Ideally, they should just simply be ignored.

i agree with cory 100%, i mean dont even try to post something not pro now adays because people will bash you, and most are sitting on theyre computers all day while we are skiing, its gotten out of hand and i bet you that atleast one person is gunna bash me or something after this and i dont really care. i thought all you NS skiers were about progression and getting bigger, well it dosent help when all you do if hurt someones confidence, i mean you all started somewhere, theres always a vid of a begginer, fist post (close to it) is you suck quit skiing, i mean people get so pumped to put shit on then they get bashed, i mean iv had it a lot. It seems like some people just never ave anything good to say, i thought we were all skiers?? why cant we get along, i dont think i ever wanna post a vid or anything anymore because some people, (without thinking it through) are just shit talknig and making the person feel bad. Atleast you could give them pointers and stuff and say (what cory stated) constructive critisism, instead its just a bunch od 'you fucking suck' 'dont ski anymore' it makes me angry..

but im not sterotyping everyone on here, most are super cool guys who dont say shit and are real nice, i think its awsome, but the majority are people who are just plain idiots who sit at there computer and think if theyre not saying it to there face then it dosent matter, and someone will either call me some type of name or argue, and this is why im starting to hate NS.

A perfect example of how things can get out of hand is a thread in the non-ski gabber. It was about Orage's website and some model on their. They were calling this kid gay, queer, a fag, can't ski, etc. I think it was NoTeefa who said it was his cousin and when his cousin read the thread he wanted to kill himself. The kid is probably a wicked cool kid who got the chance to model ski jackets...who wouldn't jump at that chance?!?!? This place is becoming 'Freeskiing's Online Hateful/Homophobic/Negative Community'

well skier11 first of all let me congratulate you, you have been a member now for 2 yrs. so i guess you have seen this go from great to the pits. I have only been a member for a few months and was wondering if this is normal for members to shit on one another.as you mentioned we are skiers and want to help each other out, but from what i can see here it is not pleasent to post as you say cause people just shit on you. what has happened to the ns crew or is it just that some of the people are not mature, or is it that they really are not skiers but losers that try to show others that they are superskiers when in reality the can't really do much on skis and spend all there days on the web instead of going skiing and releasing there energies to becomming better skier. anyway i totally agree with you. now with that said i think i'll go skiing tonite and let these so called skiers post the junk that they have and let them bash each other.

Yeah i agree with whoever said it up there^ that the better skiers dont talk so much shit. They know what it takes to get to that level so they can relate to how hard it was to throw their first five and wont tear apart the guys at that level. Also i think its dumb how we're just tearing apart other skiers, were a small enough crowd anyway we dont need to be hating each other... just skibladers and some snowboarders.

At the time, everyone agrees, but then no one does a damn thing to change it. And what can we do? JD, a while ago, there existed people on this site, weiner, phrosty, mommy, and noteefa who were the shittalkers, those were the good ol days when respect was a 4 letter word; days where people cared to address other people by names, not necessarily the ones their mothers gave them. Those were the days, good days...good days.

I couldnt agree more with this thread. I dont mind people screwing around a little here and there, I actually think its funny when people talk shit, but only when their not serious. Im sick of the bullshit, people talking shit about my bros and I hitting chads and shit like that. I almost broke my neck and now I come back to have a bunch of kids talk shit about me for it, give me a break, cut the shit...
