Shit pole graphics help please.

What's up,

I'm not willing to spend more than $15 on a pair of ski poles for park so I picked up a pair that were the perfect length so I don't gotta cut em down, but they got these swanky ass graphics (for the kiddies), so as any normal NS'er would do, I wrapped em in some good ol fashioned duct tape.

Unfortunately the tape doesn't tend to last too long and eventually starts to peel away, anything I could coat the pole with to stop this peeling or anything?
