Is it normal for it to hurt when i put presure like with my hands on my shins were i usualy get shinners, like seriously its pissing me off, does anyone have any secrets or tips to get rid of it other than cold baths, my legs are saturated in ben-gay now
 
when did it start hurting, what have you been doing lately. I don't know where you would get shinners but you might have a mild case of shin splints in which case the best thing you can do is take it easy for a few days from heavy physical activity (like running(especially on asphalt), which puts extra strain on your shins). Or you can take the not so smart route and just take a lot of ibuprofen / Advil and go one with life, eventually it will heal, unless it gets worse.

Some things you can do to strengthen your shins are to walk on your heels with your toes elevated, or if you have a set of stairs around you, stand on the edge of the step and then lower your body down using your ball of your foot as a rotation point and then raise to as high as you can go (basically calf raises but with the downward motion added), this should strengthen your muscle in the front of your shin and make shin splints less likely to happen.

whatever you do, Ice is always a good idea and some ibuprofen will always help.
