how can i help my shin splints, i get them after only like 3 hits on a 60 footer... and im not landing wrong or anything. anyone get them too? my shins feel like someone hit them with a hammer.

If you're not hurt, you're not trying hard enough

Nothing like spinning 900's over 10 foot tables.

Land on the actual landing of the table instead of shorting it?

Just givin ya shit man, but your jumps must really suck if you're landing hard enough to get shin bang.

^definetaly important. Also, tighten your boots as much as possible with out being in pane. That way they hold your legs in place. However if they are actual bone fractures and not just muscle tears you should take some time off and do Physical Therapy.

What's on the other side of that wall?

-'Death.' (Johnny D. after Kristi fell off the back of the PBP wall in 1242)

'I'm in his nigger crew' (my little brother in response to my statement that he was in my 'digger crew')

'My knee hurts' (Jeff Merat after grinding a lunch table for an hour instead of sitting in the ski patrol shack for his torm mcl and acl which he got earlier that day.)

'I'm not asking for any help, just mabe for you to get off your ass.'(my dad)

get arch supports in your shoes and boots. they helped me alot. it sounds wierd but it works

take one of those little styrofoam coffee cups and fill it with water then freeze it. rip off some styrofoam so the ice is showing and rub it on your leg until the ice is gone. Thats what the track kids at my school do when they get shin splints.

thropw some card board in ur boots so that there is no movement between your booot and leg, u dont what any movement, thats what causes them in the first place

Two words: Booster Straps - solved all of my shin problems - check them out for sure, they cost like $30.

dude I know exactly what your are talking about. my shins hurt so bad after a few hits and they hurt to the touch for like 2-3 after skiing. I tried shin iserts and got the flex cut on my 1080 promods and it helped a little, but the shin inserts cut off my circulationa and make the botoms of my feet hurt for some reason. It sux ass

a conversation between two skiers:

skier 1 ' have you seen those new skis with the tips in the front and back yet'

skier 2 'no but I heard about those things'

Skier 1 ' yeah I don't see why they would want tips in the back...maybe they are try'n to copy those stupid snowboarders or something like that'

skier 2 'Yeah seems like kind of a stupid idea.'

if it is just the muscle there are some diferent stretches you should try before skiing.

i want some explanation on how shaving your shins helps... Ive heard that but I don't get how it helps.

WoW...I just figured out what you guys were talking about. Today I landed to 3's way in the back seat, and right as I made contact with the ground I got the worst pain ever in my shins. They still feel bruised. Is this normal?
