shin relief?

i know this post has been on here a lot but i didnt want to look for it. i have some problems with shin pains and i tried the rossi soft boot ant that helped but im not gonna buy them till next year so i was wondering if there are some ways to reduce the pain of my shins while i use my old boots

go to a GOOD ski shop(GOOD cannot be stressed enough in this case), find a GREAT bootfitter/customiser/whatever, and then tell him to make your boots softer. He'll probably cut the 'V' shaped channel at the back to be MUCH wider..that'll make your boots softer, and help some. But I'm drunk, so don't listen to me...
