Shin Pain

So i just got home from skiing and i i have bruises on my shins because of my boots. My feet and shins hurt all over. At the time when i bought my boots i could only afford cheap boots (salomon pulse performa-$150). I can't buy new boots and my feet are still growing. I'm thinking of buying new liners but custom made ones a too expensive. What is the cheapest option?

I also have booster straps and wear 28.5 mondo

not much u can do there might be a few reasons why this is happening...a. your boots are too big or not the right size and thats givin u shin bangb your landin back seat every jump and hit which is fuckin up your shinsc.your boots are cheap and might need to be up graded...
if you were fitted wrong in your boots you can take them back to store and ask for some kind of deal on buyin new boots... if i were u i wouldnt look at buying new liners i would wait and save up for a decent pair of boots. BOOTS ARE AN INVESTMENT IN YOUR SKIING THEY ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR SETUP!!! dont think u can get away with buying cheap boots if you really dont have the cash for new boots take them to your local boot fitter and see if he can do any thing

Yes. Legit advice. I finally went the spendy way and dropped some bills for the FT Konflicts. They should fix most of my shin problems I hope.

drink more whiskey.

and you're boots don't fit right. if you're a 28.5 mondo you should be in about a 12 shoe...

i am a real boot fitter. my feet are size 12. i wear a size 28. i can fit into a 27....

but yeah, you're boots are most likley too big.

Shit they probably are too big. Damnit my bindings are all set to that size. I wear size 11 and i don't know if i fit into my old boots which are 26.5. since i am still growing my parents or myself don't want to shell out $300+ every year when i grow out of my stuff.

dude i bet if you went and got some superfeet trim to fit insoles and put them in your old boots, they would probably fit. i'm going on a 90% chance they will. the superfoot will make your boot smaller, and you'll probably be in a more race fit, but you won't get shin bang.

it might be a bit tight, but it'll work.

or get some manoove shintronics to fill out your cuff more. the reason you get shinbang is mostly from slop in the cuff. or try booster straps.

but for 35-40 bucks i'm betting that your old packed out boots with some superfeet will work.

^Thanks

I hate sniagrab. I just measured my foot and it is around 27cm and the know-nothings at sniagrab sold me 28.5 because i told them my shoe size was around a ten or eleven. They didn't help me with fitting at all.

Well i guess the moral is know your stuff before you go to someplace that doesn't know theirs

wow thats really gay that they set you up with unfitted boots... but you should take them back in and they may give a different pair and adjust your bindings for free.... or you may be able to buy a power strap and that can help a lot with support and down your shin bang problems

they are probably too big, too stiff, or too short. i had it pretty bad last year, i found that tightening the power strap first underneath the shell and THEN doing up the buckles helped keep my calf more secure, so that the whole boot would flex instead of just the tongue flapping.

i had the same pronlem last year, i was fitted into a Salomon performa 7 27.5, and i wear a size 9 shoe. I went with a comfy fit, and soon enought the boot had packed out so much that my foot was almost falling out of the boot. Don't go with waht's comfortable, this year i got some dalbello rampages in 26.5 and they are so much better, right shell fit the liner is nice, although i might switch it to a Silver or gold intuition in january. But my shins were sore for the rest of the season.
