I've been skiing a few days so far this season and my shins are dying. What do you guys do to prevent/fix this terrible curse the skier gods have placed upon us? I have a pair of the new Dalbello Voodoos, if that means anything. I've heard of like Boosted straps or something? plz halp

Inb4 buy Full-Tilts

been there, done that, feet are too wide so don't tell to buy no full tilts

Ok op you have tworked options cut your shins off or buy the new full tilts that arrive better and wider and stuff.

I have dalbello voodoos too but i haven't gotten shinbang yet this year (knock on wood). Make sure u are buckeling them correctly/tight, that makes a difference. Also what size do u have? maybe they are too big im a size 10.5 shoe but i ride a 26.5 boot pm me if u have any specific questions

get booster straps
http://boosterstrap.com

they aren't that expensive but the sizing is all fucked, if you're a strong skier get the "world cup" sized ones, which are like one size down from the super hardcore ones

Try the booster straps or make sure youre buckeling them properly. I had Dalbellos since I could walk and up until last season. I never really got shin bang with them, only on backseat landings, never had Voodoos so Im not really sure what theyre like.

Quit landing backseat

popping backseat on uneven solid snow will fuck your shins worse than sledge hammers.

Honestly guys full tilts don't get rid of shin and toe bang but the liners really really do a good job of making it less noticeable. I'm wanting to get a set of intuition liners really quite badly now.

Learn how to ski properly. You should always have your weight on the tongues of you boots. Ski backseat causes shin bang.

I know this, and I can ski pretty well, but I butter around quite often and get some awkward landings

I got a 10.5 shoe and got fitted for a 27.5 because my feet aren't really the same size, so I went a little bigger. I normally crank them down pretty hard because I'm used to that from when I had FTs, and I like the control you get. I try to pull the power strap as tight as I can. I'm not 100% sure how to buckle boots properly, I just kinda do what works
