Shin Bang

I got shin bang (lange bange) from my technica icon carbons last year, and they hurt..alot...all year long.

so here are some things you can do to your boot so you dont get it. cuz it practically ruins weeks of your skiing and you feel it all winter long

first of all, buy a MasterFitU custom foam tongue. it fits inbetween ur shin and normal tongue.. this almost eliminated the problem.

buy a BOOSTER strap. it replaces your old strap with one that is flexible. so just in case you happen to flex too far, it will go with you

if anyone else has suggestions to make ur boot more comfortable or to prevent lange bang, please share

where can you buy this stuff?? ski shop?

ask the guys at the ski shop they should know

also if they dont look at online ski shop places they should have them.. or just type it into like yahoo or something and something should come up

sorry forgot to mention that

You could also get arnica, put it on your shins every other week or so during winter and you'll be fine. Rite Aid for $2

piece of foam from a fabric store, cut out the middle so no pressure on the bone. worked great. this is probably like masterfit tongue replacement for poor people

Arnica - a cream or spray that does something to your shins/surrounding muscles that relieves shin bang very well.

arnica is also a hemopathic/natural whatever pain medication stuff... it works good for sprains and all sorts of pains. i always carry some to the mountain cuz when i get hurt it comes in handy

yo nipe the icons are really stiff ass boots, you can drill out the back so that they flex easier, I forget if they have one or two rivits in them, either way you can drill those out and they'll flex like butter, good shit.

i got boot bang or shin splints already this year on the third day.....i can barely walk. IT HURTS

also, i just got a new pair of nordica F9.2's and they are the perfect size, except the bone in the middle, on the right side of my foot starts to burn after 10 minutes, does anyone have a solution for this problem?
