Alright so i got some Nordica Ace of Spades boots at the beginning of the year. The boots the shop recommended me, and they feel like the fit right. However I went skiing this weekend and was getting some pretty bad shin bang. I think it is because of their stiffness? Is there anyway to soften them up? Oh and by the way i am 6' 155 type 3+ if that makes a difference.

+K for good responses

Thanks A Lot

Yeah I had the same problem with my Head Mojo XP's, A good shop will be able to cut some plastic and make them softer.

As boots heat up throughout the day the liner expands leaving your foot loosely in the boot. It's important to tighten your boots as the day goes by. Also with my ace of spaded I put the strap under the tongue. Lastly inb4 onenerdykid

From what it sounds like, you have chicken legs. The ace of spades is a pretty high volume boot, especially in the instep and calf. I couldn't get mine tight enough, I ended up making some foam race liners. Boot still was not perfect, so i sold it. I feel like you were not fitted properly. Bottom line:

Go back to the bootfitter. Get some decent footbeds.

Yeah I already have good footbeds. And I do have a pretty high volume foot because original ft's don't fit me...
