Just from watching how skiing translates to boarding and vise-versa, I honestly don't think it would be that difficult to bring a double on one or the other to the opposite sport. Air awareness is the same, the only thing that changes is edge control and the direction your feet are positioned.
 
Which I would imagine counts for a lot... Especially for someone who's only ever skateboarded/snowboarded like shaun

Although there was that clip of twall tossing a backie on a snowboard, so maybe it isn't out of the question
 
there was a 14 y old kids who stomped a dub on snowboard and he also landed some misty7 and cork7 on skis so I guess it's possible
