What's up with Costas interviewing Shaun White every night about sports he knows nothing about? I turn on the Olympics to see badass athletes putting it all on the line and I'm forced to watch this little toothpaste ginger fuck blather on about how gymnastics is different from snowboarding because they're not wearing snowboards and about how he's planning on medalling in both halfpipe and slopestyle in 2014. God I hope the Olympics doesn't do this to freeskiing.
 
Saw that. he seemed like such an asshole. the interviewer was talking about how trampoline compares to snowboarding, and shawn says that snowboarding is much more difficult, but did it in a way that seem so arrogant. He also said that he could win two medals at the next olympics, even though he didn't even qualify at x.
 
Enough with the hate on Shaun White. .001% or NS knows him/has ever met him, and he's a fucking unreal snowboarder. I realize this is probably unrelated to the thread, but it needed to be said. The kid rips. stop being jealous fucks.

It's all publicity. Shaun White is a big deal in the winter Olympics and he's a popular icon among teenagers and young adults. They're not gonna have some champion racer or ice skater (except apolo ono) that no body know the name of, why do you think Ryan Secrest is doing all this coverage too? He's a popular icon among the people of america. It's pretty simple actually and I'm surprised you're having such a hissy fit. if you don't like it, don't watch it. In the mean time, you're getting pissed and Shaun is raking in hundreds of thousands of dollars for just showing up and talking.
 
It's not even that he didn't qualify, he didn't even compete in qualifiers. And you know that he won gold at Euro X, right?
 
did you watch the interview? even someone with no predisposition would have thought he was kind of an asshole basically implying he is a better athlete than any of the people he was asked about

What a dick. A kid at camp told me that Shaun just comes to the park at Windell's or some camp at Hood after campers leave so he can hit it privately and alone. What a douche.

If i never saw him without his gear on and never heard him speak my opinion of him would be alot higher. He is good at what he does, but girls have better rail game than he does.

He's gonna get whipped in slope. If he thinks snowboarding is more difficult than trampolining, he's wrong. The comparison in requisite precision isn't even close.

Canadian coverage is shit. pure shit. CTV is terrible at what they're doing. CBC is a million times superior at big sports events than CTV. So glad they got the rights back for 2014 and 2016. And the only good announcer at CTV for the Olympics actually works for CBC. no shit.
