Shanghai Six not that good?

Level one does put out sick videos, and I have viewed it on a HDV compatible screen, and i was comparing it to teddy bear cuz I watched them back to back. Some of the tricks are pretty sick, and its cool stuff, just not absurdly insane. It will be a sick vid all around tho, and why would they have a lack of footage, it urban conditions hardly matter.

i agree isnt that great. It was solid trailer but you cant say the movie is gonna be amazing just by judging from the trailer.....also that trailer was kind of short

I agree that TBC looks like it might be more excitiing.
I'm not trying to offend anyone, but watching the footage in the Shanghai trailer just makes me feel like it will be an extension of High 5. Similar casts and locales, familiar shot angles and what. High 5 was awesome but it would be more impressive to see a more fresh concept this time around...but that's only judging from the trailer. I could feel totally different after seeing the whole video.
I'm still impressed with HDV footage though.

I like how Sno-Man says the new HD cameras aren't even close to real hi-def....I just bought the new Sony CMOS HD cam and guess what? it puts out a 1440 x 1080 image...whats that you say? thats high def resolution. go away. you know nothing.

I havent read whats inside this thread yet but the title grabbed my attention and this is my outlook on it.
I believe that the cinematography was absolutely unbelievably epic and mind blowing completely unlike all the other teaser. The main reason why most of you NSers dont like this movie is because it came out late and you saw the likes of the mind blowing teasers such as WAR, PYB, TBC, T3 SM and HIT LIST. All the teasers this year have shocked the hell out of me even the unknown up and coming production companies. Like Me Gusta is gunna be unreal. Skiings hitting a big time lets hope this is only the beginning of our sport not the peak. PCREW World Premiere world wide oh 6/7

i think that all huge videos should have more shots of the filmers and editors because they are cooler than the riders anyway. Look at berman, C the OC, Teddy Catnip, Jeff Thomas, and so on and so forth skiings played lets film partyin and stupid stuff

The image goes through lens, onto the CCD chips, into the processor, and then onto the mini DV tape. The processor takes the info from the CCD chips and turns it into 010101’s (binary code). Once the info is compressed, it is then laid onto the mini DV tape. Now why isn’t that true HD? Because when the processor crunches the image memory to fit the DV tape you lose all that image quality info that was originally coming through the lens and onto the CCD chip. The stages between the chips, to the processor and the processor to the tape are where the image looses its true HD. That is why HD tapes are way bigger. They can call it HD because the chips are powerful enough to take in 1440x1080pdi info. But the catch is the tape can’t fit it. The image memory space on a HD tape is 120mbps, while the mini DV is only 19mbps. That’s a shit ton of compressing down. So longboardska loose the attitude and know your shit before you open your mouth. Don't read the bullshit numders on the box when you buy your bullshit camera. It's the same thing as spring water. For a company to call it spring water only 9% of that not bottled water has to be real spring water. Your camera is about 20% of a real HD camera.
