another thing that would help is to get closer. also, a little color correction would go a long way, but this can be hard to do on flat light go pro videos when you just start

a simple touch for gopro footy is to reduce the gamma a bit (.6 to .8 usually works, but if its real bad light, sometimes even closer to .5) and reduce whites and black/raise mid levels on the color corrector and add a little saturation
