Shakespeare's plays must never be studied in school

I have an oral on Othello by Shakespeare about the characters personalities. I cant understand anything of want they want to mean.Im not even a university student that studying literature and humanities. I tried searching the web and the only thing came up was essays on the personnalities and perception of the world which is not what im looking for.

Ok anyone with me? Who think that we should ban teachers for using Shakespeare for essays (except for baccs and masters and Ph.D.)?

 
othello is such an easy play to character analyze. some critics say that iago may be the greatest villian in literature.
 
Yes its easy to argue we should all read these books but in what ocntext. Way I look at is this the cieling aobve me oculd fall in and kill me at this very moment and was me reading shakespeare worth the time it took off my life before i died.
 
shakespeare is a genious how dare you insult the most brilliant man in history you should be ashamed of yourself young sire.
 
shakespeare sucks nute, its soooooo boring. i hate reading that stuff. i had to start reading hamlet fro school, and its awful. i just read spraknotes so i dont have to read it

really, if you aren't smart enough to understand or even attempt reading shakespeare, i feel really bad for you. ignorant fools.
 
I don't really know where to start. For one, just because you're a dumbass doesn't mean that Shakespeare's plays must never be studied in school. Amongst many other points take this advice. Actaully read it, take your time, and you will say to yourself "Damn bitch, Shakespeare is fucking hilarious and brilliant this is a great story."
 
Im not saying its crap, Im saying that its really hard to understand because it is not modern english. Therefor, it should not be studied in lower degrees of education.
 
shakespear was just depressing, so depressing where people can call it art. i dont consider tradagies art, just a lame excuse for being a pussy. there is always hope, no matter what shakespear may say.
 
just get high and then you won't be so stressed. then you can take advantage of the "watered down" school system. Your half assed stoned work will be just as good as most of those other stupid fucking kids, especially the girls. Just make it look nice and you'll get a good grade. Worry about school doesn't make sense when it's so easy. It's like getting stressed about having to unzip your pants to take a piss.
 
i had to read shakespeare but my teacher knowed we were special so she gave us translations so our heads wouldnt blow up
 
I simply can't perceive that artistically beautiful writing that makes his works still be read centuries after his death. To me, his stories are just plain boring, not that i can't understand what's going(kinda hard though), it just doesn't interest me.
