i keep hearing about this "law" that states that its like illegal to have sex if your under 16, something about the girl not having her own concent (like she cant make up her mind??) and alot of girls at my school wont do it now because of this rumor. does anyone have any more info coz i've checked the michigan laws and i cant find anything

i suppose if it was reported... if a girl got pregnant, otherwise i guess they could run tests? but still "innocent until proven guilty" there really isnt that much evidence if none gets in her... i want to know the penalties for this

in Canada its 14 for both sexes but if one party is over 18 and the other is under 18 the parents of the younger person can sue for statuatory rape or some such shit like that.

in canada you can have sex with anyone over the age of 14, unless you are an authority figure to that person as in a teacher.

Most states are pretty lax about enforcing the law though. My friends got caught having sex in a state park..yeah funny shit...anyway, a cop walked up to their car in the middle of the night, and when they put the window down he just asked "is this consentual?" and when they both said yes he left.

So if you look the same age its not gonna get you in trouble probably. Don't get caught...sure cops aren't typically going to BUST you having sex, but parents might..and if her dad is angry enough at you, dude, you are gonna get your ass charged.

It's called satutory rape. If you're over 18, you cant have sex with someone under 18. There's also the age of consent, which is different depending on which state you live in, that specifies when somebody can make the educated decision to fuck or not to fuck. Dont worry about it unless you think your partner may have second thoughts afterwards and tell someone. Even if it was consensual, it was still rape.
