Setting different DINs on each ski

I tore my ACL last season, and though my knee has recovered well, I want to lower my DIN on my bad knee's ski while leaving my other ski at its normal DIN.

This would mean that one ski has a higher DIN than the other.

Has anyone else done this or know of any problems? My ski shop advised against it, but only for liability reasons and they couldn't point out any specific dangers.

I dont think that it should make a diffrence, just your one ski will come off alot easier which might get annoying.

i had my dins set at like 4 and 7 cause the guy at the shop fucked up or something lol and one of my skis kept getting of but i ddint know why. It wasnt that much of a big deal tough, especially if its to not injure yourself again! have fun skiing again man!

Doesn't sound like a good idea because then you're setting for self up to have one ski have a tendency to release more easily could set you up for greater disaster. You should always have all your DINs match up on the same setting.

yeah well i meant it's an ok solution temporary definitly don't hit jumps like that but for rails and doing tricks you're confident it's not that bad but yeah you're right this could lead to bad things...

i set different DIN on my bindings last year. it really didnt effect anything, it just was a lil annoying cuz one ski would fall off and the other wouldnt.

i tore my acl and meniscus and had a full recovery two years ago. my advice to you is just to take things slow, wear a brace you are comfortable with, and be careful. just takes things slow and easy, check out jumps and features before hitting them and make sure you know the speed.

just be cautious until you feel 100% confident again! i think making 2 different DINs could set you up for injury because of unwanted releasing...
