Seth Vicious or Scratch BC?

I hope you can help me with my decision, because I`ve no idea which one to take. (There could also be better ones)

I`m 16 and about 176cm tall

I of course try to go as much off-pist as possible. But usually it looks like this: 50% pist, 30% off-pist and 20% park

It`s important that it works well on pist, because it'll be my only ski and I`ll have to give courses with them.

Thanks for answers

for a first post i think this is good, he said he wants 2 skis, they are the same type of ski, wider and such, also he told what he likes to ski too

^yea he is intelegent un like about 70% of this site. But out of those two go with the vicious, but with what you ski you might want to consider the BC Sprayer or The Public Enemy (they are 2/3 the price.

yea if you reed Skeez you wil see what k2 puts their skis through. (they have a mecine that wacks skis agains a mettal table untill the brake.

i don't know guys, they've made a lot of changes to the new BC and its a pretty sweet......

hahahaha, just yankin' ya. go vicious. its not even a decision.

There are just so many skis available now that perform amazing. People make it out to be way more than it is, both the vicious and the new bc's kick ass. There is a huge following on new schoolers for the new vicious's with good reason, but the BC's definately hold there own in my eyes...they have in years passed and this is nothing but an improvement from the models in the past.

Go For The BC's i just got a pair this season, and they have such a dope flex patern ay,

They are possibly the coolest skis i have ever used, and they have better edge grip than the Seth's do (i have tried both)

well, i have seen both and i personally think you would be happier with the BC's. Plus, that is one sick-ass ski.

Thanks for the answers. It looks like the majority prefers the vicious. But how does it work on hard stuff? The same with the Scratch.

Forget what everybody is saying and go for the Scratch BC. Reason? Well, the topic was just getting to the reason, the Scratch got ice-grip, which the Vicious def. don't! The Scratch is such a stiffer ski, which makes it a pretty decent ski on groomers... The Vicious on the other hand sucks on groomers and only performs well on new, nice and pluffy pow. As soon as u enter the "used" pow with your Vicious you will loose the smile on your face...

Everybody here on Newschoolers just say SV because they like the graphic and because Seth M. is cool... Not because of the skis abilities and disabilites...

^ I agree I would recommend the Scratch BC, they revamped the BC from last year. This years is stiffer than last years aswell as being fatter. Go for the BCs in a 178 and mount it at the moden stance.

Dude that is a no brainer BC's for sure the only reason everyone else is saying seth vicious is cause they are all kids who think they have cool graphix, sadly alot of people go with a ski because of the graphix and dont study its structure, performance, durability, width, sidecut, etc. I work in a shop and have been in the industry a long time and yes i am young (16) but at least i know what the hell im talking about, the BC has a THC core "triple-hybrid core" which is basically wood, isocore and microcell "foam" for shock absorbtion the vicous is quite a bit softer although it does have a wood core with a torsion box construction with abs sidewalls Dont get me wrong the vicious is awsome in the pow but if you want to charge huge lines like seth you will be dissapointed because Seth doesnt even use the same ski just the same graphics on the top sheet, the BC on the other hand is skied by pros "as is" and they kill it you will love them on groomers as said above because of their extra stiffness and you can still ride park and charg huge lines without feeling like you are on spaghetti sticks

Thats where you'll find your wrong. So you might not know as much as you think. I have talked to seth when he was here and i got the facts. he skis a factory ski not an adapted version

both are excellent skis. I cant wait to ride the new BCs since I loved the previous year's but wished they were a little stiffer

the seth vicious like the pistols are friggin noodles. they are definitly softer... go with a stiffer ski. I like head, volkl, or armadas

yeah why would he tell YOU he was riding on a burly ski with pistol graphics? alot of the pros this year will be riding the b-squad with different top sheets

they just produce a ski with sick graphics, get a pro to ride on that graphic and the ski sells better, its not like they are really riding THAt exact ski

well the vicious has a progressive sidecut, so i dont know how good it would be in the park (switch), get watevers cheaper,

no shit he'll tell you that so you buy "his" skis, everyone has already stumbled upon the fact that he doesnt use his own skis
