Seth Morrison full tilts

My local shop has a pair of Seth Morrison full tilts, from the last year before they became first chair. They are on sale for 299 which is pretty good and they fit. I was wondering what peoples experiences have been with them? I think id like the flex because im a pretty aggressive skier coming from a racing background and "big mountain" competitions when i was younger.

Basically should i get the full tilt or dish out the extra 100$ or whatever to get a pair of lange or k2 boots or something similar, a walk function would be pretty nice. This would be if both two boots fit equally well.

I have no experience with the Seth Morrison full tilts but if they fit and they're cheap, I'd go for it. When it comes to K2 boots, I've known three people who've had problems with durability and initial quality. All three had the K2 Pinnacle 130's and all three had problems with leaking and two of them had buckles break off. Also, do you really need a walk mode? Assuming you're shopping for an alpine specific boot, is there any real benefit from a walk mode? Sure it makes walking around the cafeteria marginally more comfortable but I've yet to ski a pair of boots with a walk mode that felt true to flex and since you said you have a race background you should bear that in mind.

That sounds fair enough, glad to hear about the k2 issue before i bought any lol. Also the main reason i want a walk function is for hiking. This season ill be helping out with avy tech/ ski patrol so i might want that, ive never had a pair with walk mode though and never really had an issue.

If you've done some racing and competition you're going to find the Seth Morrison relatively soft. It's the stiffest Full Tilt I've tried, but it was still quite soft compared to Dablellos that were advertised as 120 and 130 flex.

You might want to check out the Tecnica Cochise 130's, they've got a walk mode and tech inserts. I think they also ship with interchangeable soles for tech/alpine binding norms. I'm in a pair of Tecnica's right now and they seem bomber as fuck, plus the guy who does my boots said that the plastic is crazy easy to work with.

Thank you! Ill check them out.

I ski in tilts with a 10 flex tongue and I think the forward flex is fine (a little soft but I mean that's going to be a judgement call from person to person) but I find driving fat skis through mank back to the chair they flex laterally a bit which isn't cool. They really comfortable with the intuition liners and fit my foot well with minor tweaking though so I can't complain to much.
