Server Connectivity

Those who were online today probably noticed a pretty sketchy connection to the NS server. Here's why:

The main routers at RackShack were attacked from within the network with DOS attacks. This caused a huge loss of packets (sometimes around 94%) which caused the site to seem unreachable and offline. Although our server itself remained in perfect working order, the network that connects the server to the internet backbone was being attacked. They are currently zeroing in on the attacker and will isolate the problem.

After spending about an hour in the support chat, it was quite apparent that RackShack was working their ass off trying to fix the problem.. the CEO even showed up at one point to tell us all exactly what was going on.

Sorry for the inconvenience! Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
