When the weather is about to seriously change in the near future (generally 24-36 hours out) it starts to hurt. I thought it was bullshit when I heard people talking about things like this before my injury last year, but now it definitely happens to me.

The other thing is that it used to happen rarely- last spring and over the summer it happened maybe once or twice. Now it happens a few times a month. There is a huge cold front about to move in and it is happening again. It feels like somebody is pushing their thumb and index finger onto either side of my collar bone and pinching. It makes my whole shoulder tense up- the soft tissue gets stiff.

Hopefully this won't happen my entire life.

Does this happen to anyone else?

it happened to me a little bit when i broke my leg and growth plate but nothing anymore. explanation? why does this happen?

i think it has to do with the pressure changes in the atmosphere. Normally we wouldn't feel them but because your body is now modified it can pick up on these subtle changes easier.

Ive broken 14 bones in my time and have experienced the phenomenon you're talking about. The sensation dissipates over time...at least for me it did so no worries.

it may be due to the pressure changes, but if it's due to the temperture, use a heat padd??

i really don't know.. =\
